I’ve heard podcasts on almost every topic- music, movies, books, sports and even grammar. There is also one for aspiring managers.  Manager Tools is created by Michael Auzenne and Mark Hostman. The show is about 30 minutes long and gives managers and managerial hopefuls pointers on what to do to improve their managerial skills.

This does not sound interesting in the least to someone who hasn’t heard it but these guys actually manage to make it sound interesting.  The topics that they pick out are actionable and they tell you how to get them in action and what to do in a situation where you run into pitfalls.  It is shows like this that make you thankful for podcasting because you just don’t have things like this on the radio.  You can get these shows through iTunes because not all of them are available through RSS feeds. This show contains good solid advice from guys who really know what they’re talking about.

Managing a group of people can be an exceedingly difficult thing to do and this show does help you solve a few of those problems.  It is only time and experience coupled with good advice that can solve problems like this.

These guys are extremely funny and quirky. The show is a true entertainer because even if you have nothing to do with the managerial field you will still find yourself liking it. They currently have around a hundred shows and they are available for download free of cost.  To take a topic like this and put in funny things and make it sound like it’s directed at you is an art and these guys have mastered it.  A simple and very novel idea with good production that will keep you entertained for a good 30 minutes.
